Thursday, September 9, 2010 Before you give somebody a piece of your mind, make sure you can get by with what you have left. ALL STUDENTS: Back to School Night is this Monday, September 13th. Students will be on an assembly day schedule, all students will be released at 1:35 with buses leaving at 1:45. The evening class schedule will begin with zero period at 6:00 p.m. with classes following every 17 minutes. All students will be given a form to complete their schedule for parents on Friday. This Friday will be a cherished moment for you and your family at the first Comedy Sportz show of the year! Let’s kick off this year with a bang - full of fun, laughter, and puns. This Friday come to the Black Box Theatre for a time of great laughs. The doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $5.00 and $3.00 with a comedy sportz fan shirt. All interested Boys’ Volleyball Players come to the West Gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. for conditioning and training. This is a great opportunity to work on skills prior to the start of the season. All peer tutors working with students with special needs and P.E.O.P.L.E. students must attend a training on Friday, September 10th in the Cafeteria during 2nd and 3rd periods. Please notify your teachers and if you can’t make it, contact Mr. Davidson (peer tutor coordinator). Teach young children to keep themselves safe! Become a child safety puppeteer and put on puppet shows in schools throughout the county. Look for us – “child Safety Puppeteers” at Club Rush this Friday. The Free Free the Children, a student-driven club which helps poor children world-wide with medical and school supplies as well as clean drinking water, holds meetings every Friday morning at 7:05 in C-2. Join us if you have a heart for helping disadvantaged children. REMINDER: Juniors and seniors interested in meeting college admissions representatives from Juniors and seniors - sign up in the Key Clubbers, don’t forget to bring your Club Rush stuff to J-106 on Friday and your back -to-school night goodies on Monday! Thanks, see you Wednesday. Barbara Ross will be in the D-7 on Thursday’s from 7:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. starting Thursday, Sept. 9, to share about and assist with scholarships.
